High altitude, High Quality
Sierra-Pacific Coffee Roasters sources only the highest quality Specialty Quality Arabica Beans and roasts them to develop their unique characteristics and bring out their best flavors. We use organically high elevation grown beans from Africa, India, Indonesia, Central, South America, Hawaii and Jamaica.
We work together with our bean brokers to find coffee growers who work in harmony with the land as well as foster the wellbeing of the farmers, their families and communities. Our goal is to make great coffee accessible at a fair cost.
Gale Klenk | Owner-Roaster
After years as a home roaster, my dream of becoming a production roaster came to fruition in 2015. I learned the intricacies of the coffee shop business from the Texas Coffee Business School and Wilheim Boot Camp for Coffee and became a certified roaster through Specialty Coffee Association. I enjoy all aspects of the coffee production process to provide the best tasting coffee from seed to cup.
Roasted with Altitude
Our roastery sits along the Truckee River banks at an elevation of 6000’. Roasting coffee at higher altitudes can lead to a smoother, sweeter, and richer flavor profile due to shorter roast times and lower temperatures, preserving the natural characteristics of the beans. Our single origin coffees are selected from regions where we find the tastiest coffees that will fit our specifications for body, acidity, aroma, and flavor. We are micro hand crafted roasters that control every step of the roasting process. No automation here!
Supporting our community
Part of our mission is to support meaningful organizations near and far. Locally, we support organizations including the Sierra Community House, High Fives Foundation, Tahoe Food Hub, Truckee Donner Land Trust, Soroptomist and Optimist. Globally we support Cafe Femenino Foundation which supports women farmers, sustainable practices, ethical sourcing, gender equality, organic and fair trade coffees from around the world.
